About Us

The Company

20 years ago, the first skiers hit the slopes and discovered Québec’s best kept secret. Before them, ski enthusiasts had tackled this mountain and discovered its unique characteristic, powder. These same courageous people had an idea and created a group to launch the Massif du Sud project. Envisioning a ski resort in the mountains is no easy task and takes ambition. Imagine – no roads and no infrastructure for services. These stories and adventures have become our legends.

Since the beginning of Massif du Sud, we noticed the tenacity and pride of the residents in the area. Despite the complexity of building a ski resort, they persevered and worked hard to bring their treasure to life. They believed in their project and knew its potential to bring recognition to their region as one of the most beautiful areas in Québec.

Since 2007, Massif du Sud has been growing at an incredible rate as Québec recognizes its unique beauty and splendour. The orientation of the ski resort still resembles the original concept of those first skiers by offering a simple and unique winter playground. While remaining loyal to the original visionaries, Massif du Sud continually makes the effort to offer new services and products, like Heli-Safari and Catski Safari. The imagination of a few men made it possible for thousands of winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy the unique experiences offered at Massif du Sud.
