Apprentice ski lift mechanic
As part of his duties, the apprentice mechanic participates in maintenance, inspection, improvement and repair work on ski lifts. He also ensures compliance with the company's vision, values, policies and procedures, including the requirements of the Z98 standard and occupational health and safety
Main Tasks :
- Assist lift mechanics with inspection, maintenance, fault detection and repair of ski lifts;
- Work at heights at times;
- Carry out routine inspections (checking structures to detect cracks and rust, checking electrical and hydraulic components, checking motor vehicles, etc.);
- Prepare and carry out inspections of the attachment hand cables and pulley trains (disassembly, cleaning, assembly);
- Carry out preventive maintenance work;
- Drive machinery (all-terrain vehicle and snowmobile);
- Perform any other task necessary for the proper functioning of the business may be assigned to him by his superior.
Description of skills :
- Have good physical condition;
- A constant concern for safety;
- Good ability to concentrate, analyze and observe;
- Ease of driving snowmobiles and ATVs;
- Love teamwork;
- Not afraid of heights;
- Be available to work on weeks and weekends of operation;
- With or without experience (possibility of obtaining the required certificates).
- A minimum of mechanical knowledge would be an asset
